Nakaota Shintaro drawing: wip

Nakaota Shintaro, Japanese nationalist who helped to over throw the Tokugawa Shogunate. Really, it's just an old photo I'm using to practice my drawing skills with. I'll post more when i get done with it. Using an Ebony pencil on canson universal sketch paper, so, its a little too rough for this type of work but oh well.

Ohh plaster skull, we meet again. Doing an in-class demo on how to combine vine charcoal and charcoal pencils in your drawings: vine for value and shading, pencil for line and accuracy.

New Drawings

I've been busy with the holidays and what not, and therefore have been absent from this blog. I wanted to post some drawings and sketches I've been pushing out; ideas for a new project I want to start. There are thoughts behind the imagery that I am developing; they will come to light as the project progresses. I'll post more drawings as they come along.

It's Been A Year?!!!

Wow, has it been a year since I've posted here?  Well, I have been working on a very large project called The Rabid with J.D Arnold.  It has been a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Here are some images. I'll post more, as well as other projects I've been working on.
